1973 Van Nuys High School Yearbook Wanted

Google Street view has yielded a few more photos. The house is my current home here in Ohio. My truck is in our driveway. I was on the porch when they drove by but the Awning makes me hard to see which is a good thing. I never liked cameras. The other photo is North Hollywood Masonic Temple.

I also want to thank my friend Bob Walance who bought a copy of the 1973 Birmingham High School yearbook, The Tomahawk. I never had a copy of it, even though my senior picture was in it. Bob scanned the entire senior class and e-mailed it to me. Bob collects yearbooks and is still looking for a copy of the 1973 Van Nuys High yearbook. He would love to buy, borrow, rent or scan the book for his collection. If anyone knows of a copy please let me know. Thanks again Bob.

Is this the yearbook with a photo of a high school senior by the name of Julie Brown. The same Julie who later dyed her hair red and became a very successful actress and comedienne?

It is possible. I checked Wikipedia and she was born in Van Nuys in 1954. It seems likely she would have graduated the previous year. But then I have never heard of her. My fault not her's, I hardly watch TV. Thanks for your comment.

Hey Guitar Rat - Sorry if my post shows 2 or more times - having a problem with blogger because im a rank beginner on this. Anyway - your VN Boomer Blog was my childhood and adolescent days growing up in Van Nuys. Jim Jeffries little sister Irene was my best friend. I knew Jimmy and his Demolay buds and actually reconnected with some of them at his funeral service in 2004. I went to Van Nuys High from 71-74 so I might have that year book. So many memories... E-mail me. braverwoman828@gmail.com

I found a website on AngelFire.com that was being maintained up until recently, anyway, which was created as a memorial to those who have passed away. It includes photos, dates of life, and names. Google: angelfire memorial Monroe High School.

That said, do you know of anything like that for Birmingham High School in Van Nuys, CA ?

I'm aware of a handful of people who have passed away from the classes of 1971, 1972, 1973, but I'd like to know more.

Also, would you be interested in emailing your 1973 computer file of the class of 1973 to others such as myself ?

Are you still looking for a 1973 yearbook?

Her birthdate, incidentially, was August 31st, meaning she may have graduated in 1973.

I have a Van Nuys High 1970 yearbook. Also 1967, 68 and 69 of Granada Hills High. Also, somewhere, I have a real old North Hollywood High yearbook.

Greetings Guitar Rat,
FYI ~ You can obtain a Yearbook from Birmingham HighSchool through Classmates.com. I also attended Birmingham High School in Van Nuys, but moved when I was in eleventh grade. Good luck on your search.

Julie Brown is a graduate of Van Nuys High School in the year 1972.
To obtain a yearbook go to Van Nuys High School Alumni website of vnhsalumni or go to classmates.com. This should definitely answer your question!!
Thank you.
